Halloween 2023 Food Guide for Disney World Resort Hotels & Disney Springs

Apr 20, 2024

Halloween food is coming “early” to Walt Disney World! Resort hotels and Disney Springs are getting in on the fun, with fall-themed snacks, drinks and desserts in September, October, and the first few days of November 2023. In this food guide, we’ll take a sneak peek at the spook season treats.

It’s interesting that Walt Disney World is calling this “early” (hence the air quotes) Halloween season, as most of these snacks roll out almost a month after fall food season started at Magic Kingdom. Those sweet treats, decadent desserts, and savory selections debuted with the start of the 2023 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We won’t rehash those here–see our Full List of Food Guide for Halloween 2023 at Magic Kingdom for the MNSSHP and all-day options.

Personally, I think the ‘rule’ should be that Halloween starts when it starts at Walt Disney World. It’s not an August “holiday” at Magic Kingdom, but an October one everywhere else. If they’re going to do MNSSHP during triple-digit weather in one park, they should at least have the decency to give us pumpkin treats everywhere else. I’m pretty sure that’s one of our rights guaranteed in the Constitution!

Anyway, the following dishes and desserts will be landing at various locations at Disney Springs and select Walt Disney World resort hotels in the coming days and weeks. Following that, even more menu updates will debut in October 2023 – so keep your eyes peeled for another Halloween food guide.

If our experiences in the past–and the stock photos and descriptions Disney has shared–are any indication, some of these are treats, whereas some are tricks. With that in mind, here’s a look at the food available during “early” Halloween 2023 at Walt Disney World resort hotels and Disney Springs…

Ultimately, not many additions and interesting sounding ones that I’m looking forward to trying. The winner from this list for me is Disney’s Riviera Resort, which doesn’t have a ton of additions, but the Pumpkin Napoleon and Apple Tarte Tatin both sound amazing–and I wouldn’t mind trying the options at the counter service restaurants there and a short walk away at Caribbean Beach, either. Sounds like a Spooky Skyliner Snack Crawl is in order!

Otherwise, not really a ton of options…and also a lot of conspicuous omissions on the resorts front. There isn’t a single option on the monorail loop or Magic Kingdom area? Nothing at Crescent Lake?! Hopefully those resorts are all getting something good–and pumpkiny–once Halloween season kicks into high gear. Even if all of these menus should’ve debuted back in mid-August!
