How to Use Edible Ink to Print Pictures on Food

I was recently snooping around online for edible ink pens when an internet rabbit hole introduced something way better: edible ink printer cartridges. Writing on food was completely out the window — now all I wanted was to print photos on my food.

The internet also offered a few options for what to print on. First I found an edible paper made out of potato starch; it has the look and feel of regular printer paper and a taste that is almost non-existent. Then there’s rice paper, the translucent, plant-based kind you use for making summer rolls.

In this episode of You Can Do This, I’m testing the edible printer ink on both types of paper, only later finding out that the two work best when together.
